The Pony Cafe Pugs with their new Families!
Generally we allow our puppies to move to their families at between ten to twelve weeks of age...longer they stay the better for making a great transition..(below are pictures of the pups once in their new homes; they all did really wonderfully! Thanks to great Pug Lovers!
Welcome to The Pony Cafe! When you drive down the driveway, you must be SLOW, as all our dogs and animals are totally indifferent about rubber wheels and would run up to a car that is moving just to see inside...PLEASE LOOK BEFORE YOU MOVE!! Please check out our Web Site, www.theponycafe.com where you can see all we do with ponies and horses, summer camp, training and lessons! But, when the puppies are old enough to go, they move on to their new homes where they start a career as a Love Pug!

"Laurie:
Now, everything is “about the Pinky.” I’m not doing much other than playing with her or watching her sleep. She is adjusting nicely to her new surroundings. One minute she is a ball of energy and the next she is sound asleep. She sleeps through the night and has had few accidents; we've been very good about taking her outside. Cleo, our other dog has accepted her, but doesn't particularly like the tug-of-the-tail she gets from time to time.
My son took her to the vet this morning, and she received a great bill of health. The vet said she would be spayed when she’s 6 months old.
This morning, she did not eat more than a bite or two of her food, and I noticed that she whined a bit when eating. I think she must be teething. She is surrounded by chew toys, and she sometimes cries when chewing on them. I hope they aren't making her mouth sore.
This afternoon, I was looking on your FB site to see if I could find the pug video you mentioned, and I started watching the video of Miley riding a horse to music. Pinky was sitting with me chewing on one of her toys. When the music started, she stopped what she was doing and climbed into my lap completely mesmerized by the video, She leaned toward the computer and nodded at it, waited a few seconds and nodded again. She did this several times, and she stared at the computer screen for the entire video. It was amazing, and it wasn't that cute thing pugs do when they are intrigued; it was an intense stare straight at the video, like a person would have done when they've recognized someone. Have you played that particular music for the puppies? I’m going to play it for her again in a few days to see if it gets the same reaction. I wonder if it was the music or if she recognized Miley. It was also very touching.
I’m so pleased with this little girl. She loves everyone, and is so sweet. I’ll send pictures, but the ones we've taken are not very good, and I have to wait for my daughter to send them to me.
